Role Overview

We are an early-stage, fast-growing AI-powered hiring platform building the next generation of ATS, HRMS, and recruitment automation systems. We're looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our technical vision and execution from our Dubai headquarters.

In this role, you will own the engineering function end-to-end, driving the architecture, hiring, and delivery of scalable systems that power modern recruitment. You'll work onsite in Dubai, building AI-first solutions that solve real problems for enterprises globally. This is a high-ownership position where your decisions directly shape our product roadmap and company trajectory.

You'll lead a team that values fast shipping, outcome-focused execution, and a growth mindset. We're looking for someone who has thrived in startup environments, understands the nuances of building AI-powered products, and can attract and retain world-class engineering talent.

Responsibilities

Build and scale the engineering team, hiring for AI full-stack engineers, agentic AI specialists, and backend/frontend engineers who embody ownership.
Define technical architecture and strategy for an AI-powered SaaS platform serving the recruitment and HR tech space
Drive product delivery with a focus on shipping fast, iterating based on customer feedback, and maintaining high code quality
Partner closely with product and leadership to translate business goals into technical roadmaps and measurable outcomes
Foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and collaboration across the engineering organization
Establish engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable infrastructure to support rapid growth
Lead technical hiring and candidate evaluation, identifying engineers with AI coding ability, startup adaptability, and strong communication

Must have requirements

8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role
Proven experience building and scaling engineering teams in startup or fast-growth environments
Deep expertise in SaaS architecture, scalable systems design, and modern backend/frontend technologies
Hands-on experience with AI/ML integration, agentic systems, or AI automation in production environments
Track record of shipping products quickly without sacrificing quality; comfort with iterative development and rapid iteration cycles
Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated ability to take end-to-end accountability for outcomes
Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead cross-functional alignment
Experience in B2B SaaS, HR Tech, ATS, or recruitment industry is highly valued
Ability to work onsite in Dubai, UAE

Experience at or familiarity with companies like Darwinbox, Zoho Recruit, Freshworks, Workable, Greenhouse, Lever, Rippling, Deel, Ashby, Paradox AI, Eightfold AI, SeekOut, Oracle HCM, or SAP SuccessFactors
Background in international market expansion or multi-region SaaS deployments
Experience hiring and building teams across multiple geographies (Dubai/UAE and India)
Familiarity with recruitment technology, talent acquisition workflows, or HRMS systems
Open-source contributions or active presence in the developer community (GitHub, technical writing, speaking)
Experience with modern AI frameworks, LLMs, or prompt engineering
