Role Overview
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated tests to ensure the quality of our software solutions. As part of our team in Hyderabad, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
- Execute automated and manual test cases, analyze test results, and report defects.
- Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) by integrating automated tests into pipelines.
- Participate in peer code reviews to ensure automation best practices are followed.
- Document test procedures, results, and issues clearly and accurately.
- Provide feedback on application usability, performance, and test coverage.
Must have requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in automation and testing.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for test automation (such as Java, Python, or C#).
- Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit).
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Ability to analyze requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and cases.
- Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Nice to have requirements
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Experience with performance testing and tools like JMeter.
- Knowledge of API testing frameworks (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
